Collection: Batik

The "Batik" collection is my variation on the patterning technique on cloth which uses a wax resist and dyes to create a design. I draw a lacquer resist on polished sterling, dip it in a solution which heavily tarnishes the exposed silver. Then I remove the resist and burnish the sterling shape leaving a satin gray pattern on the silver.
