These designs come from my love of experimenting with design. They aren't a part of what I make all the time, they are more just me working with an idea, usually from a sketch or from the inspiration of finding a seed pod on a walk, that sort of beginning... In this group, I am using the material made with recycled plastic water bottles. As in my regular work, I shape them and I or my daughter Roxanne paints them with mixtures of mica dust and matte medium or unusual lacquers and textured paints. As in all my earrings, the ear wires clip securely closed either in a hook in the back or a catch I carve into the shape itself.
